Pioneers of the free party movement, Galang Promotions are keeping the vibe going with charity events. We focus on grass roots charities that deal with issues that effect our local community in the capital. Such as help for refugees, homelessness, mental health and gang related issues. Our last fundraiser helped buy equipment for a youth music charity, helping to bring music and creativity to those who need it most.
Charities that we have fundraised for to date include: Praxis, a charity that support refugees and migrants in the UK. Off Centre, providing advice, counselling, support and therapy to young people at risk. St Giles, provide support to young people who have been involved in county lines operations or are at risk of criminality. Music4minds, provide music workshops for young people with a focus on mental well being. NIA, support women and children who are at risk of violence, sexual and domestic abuse.
RAISE IT UP RINSE IT OUT
Raise it up Rinse it out is Galang's flagship drum and bass event. Continuously on the move around Hackney it continues to raise money for local charities through intimate jungle parties.
Galang took over The Goodness Brewery in North London for their first ever New Year's eve party, raising over £500 for local charity Music4Minds.
NRFTW was the UKs premier monthly night dedicated to live drum and bass and breakbeat bands that ran @ Cargo and On the rocks 2003 and The Rhythm Factory 2004 - 2007. NRFTW has joined forces with galang promotions to bring you some live dnb for the 2020.

MEET THE TEAM
Max is a veteran raver, DJ and founder of Galang promotions.
After spending years on the road, travelling the world with his sound system Total Resistance Max returned to the UK and decided to create Galang as a way of raising money for charities that deal with grassroots issues locally, thus Galang Promotions and Raise it up Rinse it out was born.
Jess, aka sassy_spice teamed up with her dad Max, to form what is now Galang Promotions.
As a kid growing up she got to travel Europe and experience free parties before getting her head down to study for a master's in journalism.
With her love for dnb and jungle music, this 2nd generation raver had a vision of bringing this free party spirit to small venues. Accomplished artist and graphic designer, she designed our logo and much of our artwork.
Nicky has over 20 years experience of working in the music events industry and an MA in Events Management from Greenwich University.
Promoting two significant club nights, Mixamatosis (Madame JoJo's), the UKs first night dedicated to British Hip Hop and No Rest For the Wicked (The Rhythm Factory), a long running club night dedicated to live drum and bass bands.
Nick is also part of the Music Day UK team with an annual festival at city hall on the South Bank.
Jake is the creator of our iconic '2020 incoming' and 'May day cabin fever' artwork The underground rave scene of the last 25 years has given birth to many trail blazing creatives and among them we find this multi disciplined artist.
Jake is responsible for much of the incredible set design and artwork in the Common at Glastonbury, Boomtown and many other festivals.
